The government has launched an e-payment app for passports.
On Tuesday, Rana Sanaullah, Minister of Interior, said that the Directorate-General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has established an app to take online purchases for passports.
In a tweet, he stated that the app will eliminate "long lines and time-consuming trips to the bank."
The Passport Fee Asaan app will assist users in calculating and paying their passport fees through a simple interface.
The software also creates payment challans, which may be redeemed at ATMs, online banking, or 1-link member bank locations.
The app, which is accessible on both iOS and Android, can also be used to file complaints and enquire about the status of payments.
