The first Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan began on July 16, making the series an intriguing component of the international test championship.

In this first test, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first, however with an outstanding spell from Shaheen Afridi and Yasir Shah, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 222 runs in the first innings.

While Pakistan begins this trail and struggles with the bat, because of Captain Babar Azam's century, Pakistan scores 218 runs, falling 4 runs short of Sri Lanka's total.

And as the final inning began, Sri Lanka played admirably, and with the amazing spell of Nawaz's five wickets, Pakistan remain Sri Lanka to a total of 342 runs.

While chasing 342 runs, Pakistan preserves and wins the first test with Abdullah Shafique's 150.

The second test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will begin on July 24, 2022.
